Composition Critique Matt’s composition is a series of different sized circles distributed across the paper, starting in the top left, moving across to the middle right, and back down to the bottom left. The circles are all different values of contrast, some completely black, some grey, and some white. The arrangement of the circles, and the different contrast values remind me of planets in the solar system. When I look at this, it gives me a sense of being unorganized and flustered. The way the circles are all different sizes and all over the place, and different colors gives a sense of busy-ness. It kind of makes me feel like my life is so disorganized I’m not really sure where it might be going. All the different elements of your life being jumbled all about and you don’t know what to do with them. I think the composition is overall done pretty well. The only thing I would change is to make the grey values a little bit lighter to show more contrast.
